The Charitable Education Committee
administers the Charitable Education Fund for The Shaker Lakes
Garden Club. An endowment and generous contributions from our
members enable our group to make gifts to organizations that support
our Mission to educate and promote activities related to
environmental protection, conservation, horticulture, and gardening.
Generally, requests for proposals are
sent out at the beginning of each year. The committee then weighs
the merits and our ability to fulfill the requests. Our recipients,
in varied ways, promote education on local and national levels. The
Charitable Education Fund is a wonderful vehicle for Shaker Lakes to
make a positive impact on our world. .
