to the Shaker Lakes Garden Club Website! We are so glad you have
come to browse. Here is a little information about our non-profit
organization. Shaker Lakes Garden Club was founded in 1915 and is
one of the clubs within the Garden Club of America (GCA). All 125
Active members, 20 Associate Members and 8 Provisional Members share
a common interest in horticulture, conservation, flower arranging
and garden design. We have several divisions with our garden club
and we invite you to click on all of them to get to know us better.
We are constantly changing and updating our material. We hope you
find our website educational, interesting and entertaining, So, sit
back and enjoy!

History
The Shaker Lakes Garden Club was founded in 1915 as
Shaker Lakes Civic and Garden Association.
Its initial goal was to preserve the natural area along the eastern
end of Doan Brook including two Shaker Lakes. This property
was donated by John D. Rockefeller to the City of Cleveland.
