Conservation Field Trip

Tom Rapini and Valerie Garratt graciously hosted a group of Shaker Lakes members, one daring husband, and one guest from GCC, on August first at their farm in Mentor. It was a beautiful morning and Tom and Valerie explained their solar panels and organic gardening practices with us. We learned that solar panels are considerably more reasonable in price and much more attractive than in years past. Our hosts’ dedication to conservation and enthusiasm for teaching others was contagious and we hope to partner with them again in the future!
