Up until a few days ago my Lenten roses were wondering if we were really going to have a winter after all. I suspect they are not thinking that anymore! Although our gardening is focused indoors for the time being, I am thinking about what annual seeds to order, what new native perennials I might try to grow and catching up on great documentaries.

Dear Friends,
It’s such an unusual spring this year with days close to the 80’s followed by frost advisories. My head is spinning with all the spring bulbs shooting out of the ground and the trees suddenly leafing out! Isn’t it wonderful though, to see life spring forth from the soil after its long winter’s rest?
We have a wonderful program coming up on May 30th at Edwins Restaurant in Shaker Square. Brandon Chrostowski, the founder of Edwins, will be there as well to update us on all the great things his students are accomplishing. We can only accommodate between 30-40 people, so please sign up early!

It’s the end of March and I’m spending more time outside cleaning perennial beds and preparing for the gardening season.
