Visit to Site of Future Irishtown Bend Park

On Tuesday, October 25th over 25 members of the Shaker Lakes Garden Club met at Merwin's Wharf in the Flats where we learned all about the planning and design of the highly anticipated Irishtown Bend Park. The future park (estimated completion 2026) is directly across the river from Merwin's Wharf and abutting W 25th Street and the Westside Market.

Come and meet the design team who will show our group their 21st century plans to create a beautiful 23 acre waterfront park in this underutilized land with a gorgeous view of the Cleveland skyline.

Our speaker is the legendary mushroom whisperer, Tom Wiandt, owner of Killbuck Valley Mushroom Farm just outside Wooster, Ohio. You may have seen Tom and his wife Wendy (pictured here) selling mushrooms at the Shaker Heights Farmer’s Market where they have a cult following.
