Visit to Site of Irishtown Bend Park

On Tuesday, October 25th over 25 members of the Shaker Lakes Garden Club met at Merwin's Wharf in the Flats where we learned all about the planning and design of the highly anticipated Irishtown Bend Park. The future park (estimated completion 2026) is directly across the river from Merwin's Wharf and abutting W 25th Street and the Westside Market. Tiffany Graham, Senior Project Director at the LAND Studio and her enthusiastic team of landscape designers, architects, and city planners told us all about the many partners in this project, how the current residents are getting involved and the ways that this park will transform how we live, work and play in Cleveland. It was a perfect way to spend a gorgeous fall morning! Thank you to Robin Schachat, board member of LAND Studio, for helping us organize this.
