Please note: Affiliate Day is open to all affiliate members whose garden clubs are in good standing. Online registration is required. Also, this year there is a $16 program fee (includes parking fee). The final day to register is Thursday, April 13.

What Makes a Proven Winner a Proven Winner? A Better Garden Starts with Better Plants
Marshall Dirks, Vice President of Marketing, Proven Winners
In this presentation, Marshall will discuss how Proven Winners plants are developed and will share many of the new varieties for 2023 and beyond.

As Vice President of Marketing, Dirks combines his 30+ years of horticultural experience and marketing skills to create awareness of the Proven Winners brand, including developing and maintaining a consistent, recognizable image for Proven Winners. Marshall manages Proven Winners’ consumer and trade advertising, and is also responsible for e-commerce activities.
Prior to joining Proven Winners in February 2000, Dirks worked as product manager for Ball Seed Company where he was responsible for handling multiple lines of vegetative product, including Proven Winners. He gained hands-on nursery experience by working as a greenhouse/nursery assistant while pursuing a bachelor of science degree in management from Northern Illinois University.
Marshall was recently recognized on the cover of the industry’s leading magazine as Hort’s Renaissance Man. He resides outside Chicago in DeKalb, IL with his bride of 27 years. They have 3 children, ages 26, 24 and 21 – they hide whenever Marshall’s in the garden – for fear of being put to work!
