‘Fantasy Island’ Table Class Demonstrations
Upcoming Flower Show chairs, Martha Marsh and Robin Schachat, along with host, Margaret Krudy arranged three distinct Table Class settings with various ‘fantasy island’ themes of Mexican Island in the Sea of Cortez; Floating on an Island Cloud and an Oriental Dinner in Bangkok. Designs were ‘critiqued’ by ‘Judge Martha’ illustrating the Do’s and Don’ts as well as how to improve them! Judging tips focused on the unity of the scene. They inspired all the women for The Table Class as well as other Floral Design Division 1 classes!
If you are new to SLGC or have never entered a GCA show, grab a partner and enter this fun Flower Design class!
Can You Help?
The beds are prepared with soft soil and compost, the plants have been picked up in Wooster, now all we need is YOU…..in your garden clothes, with a trowel.
We will be planting one of the OSU pollinator demonstration gardens that are being installed around the state. This is a great opportunity for Shaker Lakes Garden Club to be part of this worthwhile endeavor. So mark your calendars….
Friday, June 2, 11:00 am, Audubon Novak Sanctuary. The Blanche Kathryn Novak Sanctuary is located about 3/4 of a mile north of the intersection of Townline Road and Ohio St. Rt. 82 in Portage County, Aurora, Ohio.
